7. Data Retention Policy

Wysk is committed to retaining your Personal Information only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Once the data no longer serves these purposes, we either permanently delete it or anonymize it, ensuring that individual identities can no longer be linked to the data. Exceptions to this practice may arise due to legal obligations, dispute resolutions, or other essential business operations. Below is a detailed breakdown of our data retention practices for each category of Personal Information:

  • Identifiers: Information such as your name, email address, and account username is retained for the duration your Wysk account remains active. Upon account deletion, these identifiers are permanently removed from our systems.

  • California Customer Records Personal Information Categories: While we don't mandate users to associate their real names with their accounts, those who opt to do so will have this information stored for the lifespan of their account. This information is expunged once the account is terminated.

  • Protected Classification Characteristics (under California or Federal Law): Wysk doesn't solicit this category of information. However, users may voluntarily disclose such details on their profiles. If provided, this data is stored for the entirety of the account's active period and is deleted upon account termination.

  • Internet or Other Network Activity: Typically, data pertaining to this category is retained for a maximum of two months post-collection. However, in specific scenarios, we might store this data longer for product development objectives, aiming to enhance our understanding of user interactions with our offerings. Once the development cycle concludes, this data is purged.

  • Geolocation Data: Similar to the above category, geolocation data is generally held for up to two months. In instances where the data aids product development by offering insights into user-product interactions, it might be retained longer but will be deleted post the completion of the development cycle.
